Leakage Detection/Fugitive Emissions Calculations and Units
Manufactures, based on the requirements of the projects and applicable standards (e.g. ISO 15848-2:2015) may use some physical dimensions for leakage or fugitive emissions which is different from the equipment used on site. Conversion table below helps you to convert these values easily.
Good to Know: The natural amount of helium4 in the atmosphere amounts to 5·10–4 volume percent ( = 5 ppm). When it is concerned with ppm concentration of Helium, the following equations are applicable according to EN 1779 annex B:1 ppm He = 2.5 * 10-8 cm³ /s = 2.5 * 10-7 Pa* m³ /s 1 ppm = 25 mbar*l/s or 1 mbar*l/s = 0.04 ppm
